Casas Da Vereda

Casas da Vereda is truly a one of a kind accomodation! The ensemble of three seperate houses is truly beautiful as are the pool area and the garden with plenty of herbs and vegetables. We stayed in the small Palheiro guest house which itself is absolutely gorgeous and offers stunning views from both the terrace and the deck. The interior is modern and tasteful and offers everything you need for a pleasant stay. The kitchen is well equipped (sharp knives - not a given!) with a stove top with two plates plus a microwave oven - and if that's not enough, there's a Weber kettle grill out on the terrace. The bed is located on a small gallery, it's supercomfortable (if you like firm matresses) and the view of the ocean through the window is amazing. The premises of Casas da Vereda are located in the village of Estreito de Calheta just off the main road that runs along Madeira's south coast, so it's easily accessible but not as busy as the greater Funchal area. There's a well stocked supermarket just accross the street and a little pharmacy further down plus Estreito de Calheta offers a couple of restaurant choices (insider tipp: check out the lovely tiki bar called "Pukiki"!). Check-in and check-out were super easy and both the owners, Ana and Fabrice, and their staff, namely Lidia, were very friendly and helpful!

Don't know when we get to go back there, yet! :( On a more serious note: Not a big deal, but parking is not included, so you gotta find a spot on the road. We never had a problem, being there off-season, but it could get more busy in high season.

We had a fantastic stay in this gem of a house. We booked all three of the houses for maximum privacy, and loved it. Kitchen is great, fire place was lovely, heated pooll was a treat, we will come back! Thank you Fabrice for hosting us

To have more privacy it would be great to schedule when gardener or technicians or the owner come on the property, i understand it needed be done, but to fully enjoy its nicer to have gardens and pool to yourself

Our holiday was amazing. We've been at Casa Rural for two weeks and could have easily stayed for another two weeks. Thanks to the hospitality of the hosts. They will do everything to make you feel at home and comfortable. The swimming pool is great for sunny days and the view is breathtaking. The house was very clean and has everything you need. Thanks for having us and we will definitly come back!

Lidia was a perfect host. She welcomed us very well! The garden is amazing! The location exceptional!
