Great location. Very easy to find. Lovely spacious apartment which was tastefully decorated. Plenty of drawer space for clothes. Two lounge/sitting areas as well as a large sofa in main bedroom. Great kitchen/dining area with microwave, dishwasher, plenty of crockery and cutlery. Well heated. Plenty of hot water. Comfortable beds and pillows. Extra bedding, towels etc. available. Great supply of toilet paper, hand wash, kitchen towel, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, cloths. Easy to contact the owner/property management when we had a slight issue - dealt with immediately even though it was past 8pm. Very quiet. Gave us lots of flexibility so that we did not have to eat every meal out, as Iceland food is very expensive. Good little supermarket around the corner. Also, a fabulous ice cream shop and many restaurants.

From the outside, the property looks worn. Lots of paint peeling off on the balconies, windows, etc. Most of the windows inside had the paint peeling off and on the bathroom door. The woodwork needs some TLC. Also the path down to the gate from the entrance - needed to be swept up and tidied and gate fixed. All about curb appeal. As everything else was supplied, it would have been useful to have washing up liquid to wash individual items.

Beautifully decorated and lots of room

The front two rooms where we had kids on couches didn’t have curtains and we were here in Summer so light was an issue going to sleep. The water has a really strong sulfur smell. This is an upstairs apartment so be advised for anyone with mobility issues.

The free taxi ride from the airport was very convenient. I really appreciated the early check-in as I arrived so early in the morning. The location is brilliant and the apartment itself was very nice and spacious.
