"Schön ruhig."

8.0

We had a wonderful stay at The Boathouse at the Creek. This charming, standalone vacation home is incredibly spacious and beautifully cozy, while still offering all the modern comforts you could ask for. The interior is a true reflection of the owner’s artistic touch, making it feel both welcoming and inspiring – a real home away from home. One of the highlights of our trip was the nearby RSPB Nature Reserve Fowlsheugh, just 1.5 miles away on foot. It’s the largest seabird colony in the UK, and seeing puffins among the millions of other birds was a truly unforgettable experience. Just 3 miles from the Boathouse, the dramatic clifftop ruins of Dunnottar Castle offer breathtaking views and a fascinating glimpse into Scottish history. If you’re in the mood for a classic beach day, the stunning sands and scenic dunes of St. Cyrus Beach are only 12 miles away – the perfect spot for a coastal walk or a picnic. Overall, it was the perfect base for both relaxing and exploring this beautiful part of Scotland. We can’t wait to come back!

"Very nice stay."

Good location. Pleasant accomodation.

Heating in second bathroom not working properly. A bit short on crockery for size of the accommodation. I may not have read the small print but owners require a deposit of £150 prior to arrival in case place is left unclean. Awaiting this to be returned to my account. I felt a little harassed by them to get my account details on the week before our arrival.
