Putu's Paradise Ubud

Quiet, lovely, well-maintained property ideally located in Ubud. There are good warungs and yoga centers within 15 min walk. The garden is so peaceful, it was a true delight to have breakfast on the terrace in the morning with such a relaxing view. The room was really comfortable and clean. The staff is lovely and I really felt welcomed and cared for.

Putu and her husband are just so lovely but also the stuff is amazing as well as her brother who went with me on two drips. If you really want to experience real Bali just ask them they will be so happy to show you and might take you to a ceremony. Thank you so much for everything!

Relaxing garden.

The property feels local, surrounded with nature. The beds were comfy and the bathroom is decent. They prepare breakfast as well. Near the busy street in Ubud, but never noisy. The staff is good and always smiling.

Narrow road going to the property, some grab cars can’t fit. Also rented 3 rooms, 1 room (twin)’s aircon doesn’t work well.

Az ágynemű szakadozott és elhasznált volt, a törölköző foltos volt, úgy éreztem, hogy nem frisset kaptam. A reggeli az öt alkalomból kétszer elmaradt. A tulajdonos nem tartózkodott a helyszínen, az alkalmazott pedig nehezen volt együttműködő, még egy szelet toastot is külön „ki kellett harcolni” a tojás mellé.

The Garden is sweet. The location is central although not simple to reach.

I felt very uncomfortable here. The level of dirtiness is beyond what I can describe. I have not experienced anything like it in Bali so far and am really dissapointed. There was mold literally everywhere, blood stained sheets, mouse droppings in the room, a disgusting sink, the toilet brush has been there since 1999 and the bin, curtains, ceiling and toilet bowl where absolutely foul. I am attaching photos for reference. I did not use the toilet at all while I was there. The electricity socket was so dangerous throwing sparks and the bedside lamps where not working. I was too sick to move rooms,ahead of my departure date, but I thank the gods that I was well enough to move to another guest house and didn't have to extend once my time ended there. I'm even embarrased that I stayed as long as I did. I arrived in the rain at night and was told that a car can pull up to the front of the gusethouse which was not possible. So with my luggage I struggled to get down the narrow path in the dark and wet, feeling unwell and I asked them by phone to come help me. They told me to just keep walking so I insisted and then they came to help. The breakfast was really terrible because the dishes were so dirty, I didnt even want to eat the fruit. No water to drink in the room, there was a water dispenser outside the room but i felt to disgusted to use it. The monkeys also came and attacked my neighbours two young girls from germany. I am a seasoned traveller with many guest house experiences in Bali and other places around the world and this was definitely one of the worst. I am dissapointed that the revies here don't match the reality but if you read the negative comments you will see that this is across the board the truth. Im sorry Putu, but you need to clean that place and the curtains in the bathroom should be thrown in the bin (and the bin should be thrown out too because its really not acceptable.) Where is your pride? Bali deserves better.

Great location – very central, yet tucked away from the main road, so it feels private and quiet. I loved the terrace with a green view. Having my own kettle and fridge was super convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good.

The same thing I loved about the location can be a small downside in heavy rain, since the car can’t drive right to the bungalow. Still worth it – just be prepared.
