Villas of Hatteras Landing by KEES Vacations

Location was perfect being close to the sound side and short walk to ocean and being close to the shops. The room was spacious for our family of 4. Loved having a kitchen to prepare our own meals.

Amenities could have been a little better. Only 1 roll of toilet paper for 4 people for 2 nights - had to get a roll from a neighbor. Limited pillows and pillow cases. Pillows lumpy and mattresses not comfortable.

Unit was very clean, and it was perfect for my needs. I loved the location as it is right nearby great fishing. Staff was quite accommodating

Was unable to connect to the wifi in this unit, but it was not my top priority.

Didn’t know there was a breakfast, but the room was more than I expected, in a great spot, clean, and had everything I needed for a quick trip to the beach.

Small trash cans were full on check out day. Other than that, I can’t think of anything else that was bad.

Most important, the bed was comfortable. My husband liked the firmness. I would add a little soft pillow top to it. Furniture was comfy. Water pressure in the shower was great. Carpet looked new and the condo smelled fresh. Bedroom curtains were nice and thick and kept the morning sun from blinding us, as we are late risers. Towels were a good size and had good thickness. Boarded walkway to the beach was easy. I could see a little tiny view of the ocean from the patio, which is all I need. We were right next to where the ferrys come in and shops and a restaurant/bar. Restaurant was not open in March, but we are coming back in May. Nice plates, and eating/cooking utensils. Larger cups would be nice. Pots were good. Frying pans may need replacing, but it is hard to keep them from sticking with all of the use they get. I bring my own anyway. The way the housekeeper presented the paper towels with a fancy bow was a very nice added addition. I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you for a wonderful mini vacation!

Being 5' short, I could barely reach the glasses, because of the location of the cabinet and I could not reach the higher cabinets. A step stool would make me happy. The dehumidifier could possibly be moved next to the tv, as where it is sitting next to the sofa, it was loud and you have a hard time hearing the t.v. or are we allowed to turn it off? Instructions on how to connect the wifi to the t.v. would benefit us non- techy old people. You may want to change the door mat, as it stayed wet the entire time we were there, being it was very thick. I did not realize it when we arrived and I slipped on that nice shiny ceramic flooring, as I entered the living room. You may want to replace the tub faucet, as I had to pull the little knob up very hard to get the shower to turn on. I was afraid that it may break. Maybe have a broom and dustpan in the condo. Everything else is absolutely perfect. Thank you for taking good care of the Rock N Reel. I remember when the Villas of Hatteras was the Holiday Inn and Suites so many years ago. It is nice that the individual condo owners take such good care of their condos.

Beautiful apartment like space. Equipped with everything we needed!

They use a door code which was sent to me prior to arrival

The power kept going out making it sso the television and dehumidifier wouldn't work. After being in the room for less than 1 hour I had to drain the dehumidifier because the tank was full. Not emptied prior to my arrival. When the power would go out and back on for one half of the room the dehumidifier would make a clunking sound that kep waking me up throughout the night. There are 2 air conditioners that are extremely loud. In the bath room there was a can of ceiling paint and painters tape sitting in the middle of the floor. In the shower there was tape on one of the walls. I am not sure if it was holding the tiles on or was for painting.
