A last-minute decision to go diving on Aliwal Shoal saw me booked at the Bare Feet Retreat, and what a fantastic decision it was. I received the friendliest welcome from the host who saw me to my room and took the time to show me around and make sure I was settled. I further had the opportunity to have wonderful chats with the hosts and really connected with them on our mutual interests and love for the ocean, nature and conservation. I was further kindly accommodated with both an early check in and late check out, which removed my logistical challenges, allowing me to really maximise and enjoy my short visit without stress and pressure. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet and I had everything I needed. The value for money and location and the friendly, kind and accommodating hosts make the Bare Feet Retreat a must stay when heading to the south coast. I will most certainly be back!

"We were well taken care of. The passion for their little oasis shines through."

Sander and Kim went all out to please and accommodate food allergy. Also recommended and booked urgent physio appointment making sure we were well taken care of. They both go beyond their call of duty.

No aircon and ventilation.

Good Safe location. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Very clean room.. Very friendly hosts. Lovely breakfast.

Parking is limited but not a problem as safe and secure.
