Rose Hill Retreat

Very quiet and relaxing! We stayed in the carriage house. It was really nice. We will, however, choose one of the rooms with a porch with a view next time. The view from the property is astonishing. We sat on the front porch of the main house several times and loved it!!!

Rose Hill Retreat, a beautiful bed and breakfast near Fredericksburg, has exceeded our expectations. Our cozy cottage, scrumptious breakfast, and breathtaking views off the porch have made for an unforgettable weekend getaway. We'll certainly return!

What a respite Rose Hill Retreat is. We love Fredericksburg but there’s a lot going on. Between the traffic, parking and pink stretch limos for bachelorette parties, Rose Hill is slice of heaven. It’s just a few miles up 290 in Stonewall and well worth it. It is beautiful and peaceful. We wanted a weekend getaway and driving up the drive to Rose Hill I knew I had found just what we were looking for. It is lovely, clean and super easy. I sat out Saturday evening and read on our porch and watched the many hummingbirds fly around a lavender bed against the rolling hills. Heaven! Breakfast is easy and delicious in the main house. Couldn’t have picked a better place.

The property was quiet and peaceful. Amy, Granny and other staff made you feel welcome. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. I would love to stay there again.

My wife and I had a great weekend getaway at the Rose Hill Retreat. The photos don't do it justice. Very very nice. Very clean and well maintained property. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Great Sunday morning breakfast. The property was far enough away from Fredricksburg to avoid the crowds and the noise, but not so far away that it was inconvenient. Beautiful views from the room. Our place was spacious and very nice. We will definitely be going back. Special thanks to Amy and Asher for being wonderful hosts.

Very nice. Clean, comfortable stay. Best views are rooms that gace the front of the main building. Good breakfast too.

Really nice place set out away from all the noise. Very quiet and able to see the stars. Close drive to Fredericksburg and all the wineries. Breakfast was outstanding. Not the hotel breakfast but a good home cooked breakfast. Extremely clean and the staff was excellent. Not sure if she is always on site but the owner was there and she was also very nice and welcoming. Would be hard to make a better stay.

Did not want to leave so relaxing , out in the Texas hill County. Just minutes from several towns. Our new favorite place
