When we first pulled up, it looked like a tiny yard with some tents and caravans. Which isn't inaccurate, but it is a cozy place with a sizable indoor area as well, and the yard stretches around the buildings. Friendly service with good advice for us hikers. What stood out the most was how comfortable the caravan was. I was not expecting it to be one of the most comfortable places we stayed all trip, but the mattress was nice, the airflow was good, and despite it being small it suited the two of us just fine.

It's not much to look at from the outside, but if looks are your thing, you're probably not the kind of person who would be launching their journey on the Malerweg anyway. It's functional and has some amenities, but it's not a resort. It's a stopping/starting point, though I wouldn't mind it being a home base for day hikes.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel! Alles war sauber, das Frühstück lecker, abwechslungsreich und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Die Besitzer sind unglaublich freundlich und man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Das man mit den Öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel fahren kann.

Das Personal und Frühstück waren sehr gut.....

Der kleine Wohnwagen hat leider sehr muffig gerochen und ist leider in die Jahre gekommen....auf die Bilder war Fehrnsehn mit abgebildet war leider uch nicht vorhanden......

The place is very spacious, and its location in a quiet village ensures a wonderful night's sleep. Everything is clean and tidy. Another advantage is its proximal location to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.

It gets quite cold at night in winter.
