The breakfast was limited and only cold food provided though the fresh fruit salad was nice. For that price I would have expected a cooked breakfast

The room was very tired with cigarette burns and very old bed linen. No hair dryer provided

Very spacious. Great that it's pet friendly. Breakfast was perfect. This is a little gem that I've driven past a few times, I'm glad I had the opportunity to stay here. Will definitely be back again.

The advice given by the host in local attractions

All the complaints from previous guests are true, believe them no matter how Dee downplays them in her responses. WiFi- we had 2 teenagers in our group. no WiFi in all our rooms. and we were there for 6 days. Access to WiFi available if your room is close to the breakfast room. Blocked Shower- Precious guests comment about slow draining shower are true. In Kalahari room, the shower base overflows within 30 seconds of showering. Communal Kitchen- Previous guests comments about the communal kitchen are true. We were washing our dishes but the other guests were not and the cleaning stuff were not helping either. Privacy and Security- Previous guests comments about privacy and security are true, we were allocated rooms close to the communal kitchen, which was our request. However these rooms don’t have privacy as the guests using the communal kitchen can see when we go to the bathroom. Not matter how safe Bloubergstrand is, guests should feel secure as there is crime in South Africa and there is no excuse not to have a door between the kitchen and the 2 rooms with a common bathroom. Pool- Believe previous guests comments about the pool. We were allocated to an adjacent property to the main property with the pool, this is not clear from the description of the property that there are rooms are in an adjacent property with no pool. Barbecue facilities- on New Year’s Eve, the first a wanted to braai, but the were I’m only two Skottel Braai which were dirty, the grill was not cleaned, still had fat and meat pieces from previous use. Electricity- The power kept on tripping and tou told every guest who arrived that the electrician was coming the following day, we were there for 6 days, and power was still tripping even on our last day. Message to host- Stop downplaying guests negative comments, you know the complaints are true.

They’re so unprofessional, they cancelled on the last day claiming that they had a walkin
