Craftsbury Farmhouse

This is a gem - a gorgeous old classic VT farmhouse restored with loving and artistic touches. Each room is unique with well chosen vintage pieces but modern style and comfort. Everything was very professionally handled. We will definitely be back!

Location near Craftsbury Outdoor Center.

Not welcoming. For the price, about $200 per night for a double room with shared bathroom and no breakfast, I expected better service. Owner is absent, never introduced herself. Apparently does not live on the premises nor employ anyone on the premises to help guests when problems arise. For example: the first room to which I was assigned was cramped and very dark. I asked for a lamp, around 6:30 pm. Finally got an answer, no lamp available, but owner will “look into it” tomorrow. Second example: no one bothered to clear the outside stairs if ice or put down salt or sand to prevent slipping on ice. Owner not there so I told the manager of the bistro in the same building. He managed to reach one of the purported owners, who said someone would fix the hazard the next morning, but not the evening I notified her of a hazard on her property. No one around to fix it! Third example: The hot water dispenser ran out of water; this could have been foreseen and prevented since five people were using it, but no one took care of that. I notified the owner, who said someone would replace the water jug but only at 9:30, which is kind of late if you want a hot drink for breakfast and there are no restaurants open nearby and no breakfast offered by the inn, so the hot water dispenser is the only game in town. A poor showing considering the high room price. On the other hand we were able to move to a better room after the first night in cramped, dark quarters. So they saved their reputation somewhat.

It’s was a great time! Loved the place and the restaurant on property was tasty!

Our room over the farmhouse was very spacious with a queen size bed and a second room with a large, old couch. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bistro and cafe were closed the night we were there and while we knew this going in this setup turned turned out to be a bit too remote on a cool, rainy night in Craftsbury. This became even more apparent without access to a TV. The listing said there was a hot tub on the premises but we couldn't find it. We never saw any staff during our stay.

Easy to follow instructions, amazing scenery, good food downstairs. Love the set up of the rooms . Will definitely book again l!!

Quaint little cabin in the woods, with an amazing 360* view of woodlands and a sparkling lake. Comfortable beds with loads of blankets. Owners were convivial and very accommodating. Communication was excellent. We tried the onsite restaurant for dinner and it was outstanding. Great menu and ambiance. We hope to return again to experience the relaxing vibe this cabin emits.

Checking in was smooth. The suit was exquisite and very clean with almost everything you need!

Toller Aufenthalt. Alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Leider hat die Bar und das Restaurant nicht jeden Tag geöffnet. Lage ist schön ruhig.
