Mangia's Himera Resort

The place wasn’t overcrowded; there was plenty of space for different activities. The programme was varied and interesting. The food was very good, and the choice was wide.Friendly staff.

1. The consumption of single‑use paper cups was enormous, which is understandable in an all‑inclusive setting. I also appreciate the focus on environmental care, and I assume that the large number of discarded paper cups is properly sorted and recycled. However, I would suggest providing sturdier, reusable cups that can be washed in a dishwasher on a quick cycle and used again. I believe this would be more environmentally friendly and more functional. 2.Also, having self‑service access to juices would be helpful, as it was sometimes inconvenient to stand in line frequently and place an order, especially since juices and water were probably the most commonly requested drink 3. It could be nice, if a bottle of water could be provided daily in the evening, as in this hot condition, people are thirsty before bed time or at night time.

There was a lot to like - very private beach spot, good breakfast and all inclusive bar, spacious rooms, and very friendly waiter/receptionist staff. Communal areas like the lobby were also really nicely done, useful shop onsite for suncream (which we ran out of) etc. Also a great value shuttle service to Cefalu, which I'm really glad we took! Food was good - the hot breakfast items were OK, but pastries, hams, and cheeses were very good. Pastas at both lunch and dinner were also great, as well as other hot and cold options. Plenty of fresh salad and fruit and fish. Also - there are kayak (double and single) and paddleboards for guests to use free of charge which was really fun, no time limits, no rip off, and was kind of just subtly there for those who fancied it, which we really enjoyed.

Some of this is my lack of awareness - I was quite surprised at the price of transfers from Palermo to the hotel, and the whatsapp messaging from the hotel directed me to a phone number, rather than being able to help more conveniently. A suggested provider or regular shuttles would be hugely appreciated. Equally surprising was the cost of taxis or ubers from the resort to the nearby areas like Cefalu. Be prepared to pay 80 Euro for a 20 minute taxi (each way!), or be prepared to stay in the hotel. The shuttle currently operates a morning and afternoon service, however an evening offer to be able to go out for dinner may be good. The hotel dinner was nice, but I hadn't realised we wouldn't be able to pop out if we fancied it to try something local. As an all inclusive, this is quite minor, but the bar was available all day (great) but didn't do any ice creams or ice lollies, which would have been appreciated in the hot weather. I'm more of a beach person - having a private beach was lovely, however a digger did roll past a couple of times as it does sort of look like the beach area isn't quite finished yet, there's a slight construction feel to it, where the lawn and pool areas are very polished. This did no put us off spending time there, just a point to consider.

Wir hatten einen Aufenthalt von 3 Nächten mit all inclusive. Das Personal war sehr freundlich (bis auf ein paar genervte Barkeeper). Insbesondere das Animationsteam war sehr nett. Die Anlage hat schon ein paar Abnutzungserscheinungen. Der Außenbereich ist hübsch, Pool groß genug (etwas zu warm). Das Zimmer war okay - etwas klein aber wie gesagt okay. Aber es war sauber! Die Möglichkeit Tennis zu spielen hat uns viel Freude bereitet.

Der Strand ist nicht besonders schön - deswegen dort nie aufgehalten. Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer war etwas defekt. Die Getränkeauswahl bei all inclusive sehr mau und keine originalen Marken - kein Coca Cola/Fanta etc., kein orginal Aperol etc. Das Essen im Restaurant … Frühstück klassisch italienische Verhältnisse, Mittag/Abend zwar doch wechselnd aber das Buffet eher mittelmäßig. Hat uns nicht wirklich geschmeckt.

Il Resort corrispondeva alle immagini ed era molto bello. Inoltre, il cibo era buono e c’erano abbastanza possibilità di scelta. Ciò che ha reso la nostra vacanza ancora migliore è stato il team di animazione, soprattutto Jack ed Elia, che erano molto aperti e simpatici.

Zimmer und Einrichtung sehr schön, Strand und Pool sehr schön und durch einen Weg mit Palmen verbunden.

Lautstärke der Livemusik war deutlich hörbar im Zimmer, keine ausreichende/fehlende Beschriftung der Speisen beim Buffet

Lo staff è stato super cordiale, eravamo in luna di miele in più era il mio compleanno e mi hanno fatto una sorpresa insieme a mio marito. In particolare mi complimento per il Signor Francesco che ci ha anche accompagnati dall'aeroporto di Palermo alla struttura, di una cortesia e simpatia incredibili. Giorni stupendi peccato siano stati così pochi.
