Quinta da Bizelga Cottages

What a lovely, lovely place. We loved our little cottage on the farm. The owners were away while we were there, which was a bit of a bummer, but we felt like we had the place to ourselves, which was magical. The cottage was perfect for us and very clean, with a bottle of wine and fruit on the table to greet us! Filipa and Paola were so friendly and helpful as well. Helen gave us contact information for Margarida, their former cook, and we were able to order yummy light fare to be delivered directly to our place. We had delicious quiche that night, plus other yummy treats that lasted us for a couple of days! The bread man came every morning, and the bread we got from him was the best we had our entire trip. We loved the location of Bizelga - close to Tomar (which we loved), Almoural castle, and Grutas de Mira de Aire. We ventured out, but we also spent plenty of time exploring the property and relaxing. I'm really disappointed that we didn't book more days here. Such a gem!!

Selfcatering. The location is excellent when you want to rest and explore the area. Many beautiful little towns around. The cottages are well equipped. Privacy is respected. Everything was in working order.

We stayed 2 weeks and I would have liked the cottage to be vacuumed at least once, half way through our stay. The linen and the towels were changed.

Everything is new and clean, very nice design inside the rooms, the garden is also very nice

There was nothing that we didn't like it was so peaceful

The location is fantastic. We were able to tour Coimbra, the Roman ruins at Conimbriga and the beach at Nazare.. Of course we toured the Knights Templar castle in Tomar. The suite is private and the bed was very comfy. Helen really made us feel like family. Fresh bread is delivered daily and oranges and lemons grow on site.

Nothing lacking here.

We had a really fantastic family holiday here. The kids loved the pool area, and as the weather was good we spent a lot of time there. We also loved the arrival of the 'bread man' every morning selling fresh bread and pastries, a really nice touch. We would definitely recommend to friends in the future.
