Visited Te Anau with my wife and mother. We absolutely loved this space - clean, cosy, and in a beautiful location! We loved meeting the animals - they were all so friendly! The freshly baked bread, homemade jam, and fruit cake were a thoughtful gesture. Had the weather been nicer, we would have loved to see the stars! We will definitely book here again.

Nice to be a little bit out of the main town of Te Anau. Kids liked the alpacas. The lady who checked us in brought some fresh bread over after we arrived which was nice (and tasty!)

Most of it unfortunately. Not at all what we expected. We knew it was a quaint cottage but didn't expect something so old and rundown. Many things are not working. Indoor spa or of order. Fireplace out of order. Taps broken. And a dead rat at the doorstep when we arrived. One of the main reasons we booked here was the promo of the outdoor spa - turns out this is just a spa attached to the owners house and really felt very uncomfortable to go any use. The lady who checked us in did turn the spa on when we asked, but we felt like we were going to their front yard to use it so didn't end up doing so. That was very disappointing. Overall, given this was one of our more expensive stays across our roadtrip, we were unfortunately very disappointed with the quality of the cabin and upkeep of the property. I'd suggest looking for something a little bit closer to town/lake and more modern.

Tolle und extrem ruhige Lage in der Natur, etwas ausserhalb von Te Anau (weniger als 5 Autominuten). See zu Fuss erreichbar. Fahrräder können ausgeliehen werden. Sehr viel Platz in dem Cottage. Perfekt ausgestattet mit Liegesesseln, Spülmaschine, grossen Betten, riesiger Dusche, grosser Holzterrasse. Sehr gepflegt und sehr sauber. Extrem hell durch riesige Fenster nach allen Seiten, dadurch freier Blick auf Wiesen, Pferde und Berge. Helen ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin, die in einem ca. 100 m entfernt liegenden Haus wohnt und uns absolut unaufdringlich mit Kuchen, Milch, Marmelade und frischem Brot versorgt hat. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Keppler Track, Tageswanderungen und Milford Sound.

We didn’t realise the unit shared a wall with another. At times it was a bit noisy. We still enjoyed the stay and felt private.

Exceptional stay and location, we loved the experience of feeding the sheep and alpacas. The weather was not on our side, but this is an absolute gem of a place to spend a night under the stars and dive into the night sky. The hosts were wonderful. We would definitely visit again!

Helen welcomed us with freshly baked bread and home made jam. The animals are wonderful, especially the cockerel!

Sehr schöne, saubere, geräümige Unterkunft mit wunderschönem Blick auf die umliegenden Berge. Bequeme Sessel zum Entspannen nach einer langen Wanderung. Freundliche Gastgeberin, die ein selbstgebackenes Brot vorbereitet hat und gerne Auskunft zu Wanderungen in der Umgebung gibt. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wonderful stay. Warm, welcoming hosts and thoughtful touches throughout. Beautiful, clean, and comfortable unit. Stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Great experience with the animals — a unique and memorable highlight. Highly recommend staying here. Would definitely return.
