Marojica Apartments

All of it! Not billed as “an experience”, it can certainly be one, if you choose. Maro and his family offer locally sourced- from their property, when available- home cooked, Croatian food in the (I hope I got it right) the traditional style of the konoba. It seems like much more than that, though. Great food and drinks, amazing garden and pool, and the apartment was the best lodging I’ve stayed in while in Europe- large, clean rooms with the most comfortable bed. The best part, though, was the company and learning about Croatian life!

I wish I had known about this place before I had booked other lodging in Dubrovnik.

Maro and family has been very accommodating. They are approachable and genuinely nice. We only booked for a night but we had an amazing time with them. Perfect, location way up the hill but taxi by host and in village so easy, 10€ each way. Amazing views and our apartment had front and rear balcony so one always in the shade.

Modern yet charming with so old character, garden lovely and the pool although no huge adequate as not many places are blessed with one.

Eh... nothing, really. I would say that when you walk to town, go early in the morning or later in the evening as it can be taxing in the heat.

살면서 이분들보다 좋은 host를 만나본적이 없어요. 모든 면에서 완벽했고 어려움에 처했을때 가족보다 더 열심히 도와줬습니다. 잊지못할 추억을 남겨주셔서 감사해요. 그리고 사과케이크와 아이스크림은 프렌차이즈를 만들어도 되겠어요!! 크로아티아 방문 예정이라면 이보다 더 좋은 숙소는 없을꺼에요

Beautiful apartment with amazing views and Maro and Nicole went out of their way to help in any way they could. They offer lifts to and from the airport and took us to a supermarket so that we could stock up rather than have to walk up the hill with our shopping. We also eat here and had the 3 course meat under the bell menu which is a must, it was so tasty. The gardens and pool area are lovely and so peaceful. The walk back up the hill to the apartment was a challenge but its worth it for the views. We would love to return one day.

Having to leave to go home

A lovely place to stay with a fabulous view of the sea, a lovely garden and genuinely friendly and helpful treatment from the owners. We can also highly recommend their breakfast and dinner including red wine. Fantastic!

Nothing we can think of

My husband and I had a wonderful stay with Maro and his family, who couldn't do enough for us. The apartment was spotless, modern and has everything we needed for our holiday. The views are amazing. It was a short 10/15 minute walk into town down hill, so yes, it is uphill on the way home, but to get the stunning views, it is worth it, plus there are taxi's and uber available if you don't fancy the walk home. We ate twice at their lovely in house restaurant, Rosehip Konoba, where Maro's family cook for you, the food was superb, as good as any you will find in Cavtat, it was just a lovely experience and stay all round. We will definitely be booking again next time we visit Cavtat.
