Terrace is exceptional. Bed is super comfy. The flat is really nicely designed. Kitchen had all amenities and even a supplied bottled of water, which was a nice touch. It’s very quiet which I really liked. TV was easy to navigate. Entrance and exit of the building with codes was straightforward. Oh and being located next to the park is amazing and there’s an awesome supermarket just up the road.

Only two small things. I couldn’t get used to the pillows so needed two of them layered on top of each other. Not a biggie but I’m very particular about firm pillows. The shower was great but I would have liked it to be on the wall at all times with a hinge to point down. Not a fan of showering with it in one hand or the other. Again just a small note so not an issue at all.

The reasons I booked this studio apartment, despite usually choosing hotels, were the location in the middle of the city, practically in Cismigiu, and the 4 stars rating on Booking. A BIG factor in my decision was the terrace, which did not disappoint, all things considered. The apartment is on the 9th floor of an older (not very old) building across the street from one of the most beautiful city gardens in Europe (currently undergoing careful renovations to restore its former glory, which we enjoyed as young high school kids!). For the older guests: please note that the elevator only goes to the 8th floor, so you will need to climb a flight of stairs, thankfully not steep at all. The access inside the building and the apartment were very smooth, with very clear instructions from the host. The apartment is small, but tastefully decorated, except for the fake plants, which were OK inside, but the sun-bleached and dusty “ivy” on the terrace did not quite fit with the overall vibe (please note that it didn’t really bother us, maybe I’m just very picky- we enjoyed the terrace nonetheless-it’s just that the 4 stars rating made me expect more). The bed is VERY comfortable, the bed linens of exceptional quality and the pillows-dreamy! There is a small galley kitchen equipped with everything needed for a few days’ stay. This includes a washing machine which came in very handy (detergent provided). Bonus: enough Nespresso pods for a 2 week stay, so unless you want to experience more than the 3 flavors provided by the hosts, you don’t need to shop. The terrace is nicely furnished, and we had a lot of fun taking our morning coffee while taking in the beauty of the view-old and new Bucharest to enjoy! AC was great (we visited during a heat wave, so we really appreciated it); I might have missed a few “good” details, but al-in-all, it was a very enjoyable stay, I can recommend it, in all honesty!

Please note these observations are meant to (hopefully) benefit the host-there was nothing really "bad", just small things that, if taken care of could really bring this place to the above mentioned 4 stars rating: the closet is minuscule and not designed for dresses, or anything longer than a shirt (we had to attend a formal event, reason I had to mention this issue). This could easily be addressed by better use of space in the bedroom (like the desk alcove, for instance). The fridge is in dire need of a defrost, as two of the 3 freezer drawers could not be used due to massive ice accumulation. The note online and on the entry door requested the guests not to use shoes in the apartment, but no slippers were provided. The bathroom was the most awkward matter: it’s tiny, and while the storage space is massive when compared to the size of the room, it’s not very helpful. There is no light above the mini sink, which is therefore unusable for putting or removing make-up, or shaving. The shower is also very small, not easy to use, not only due to the size, but also because the handheld unit could not be attached to the above-head holder. At least I couldn’t, it’s too high and not moving at all, so impossible to position as needed. Moreover, there is a long time to wait for the hot water to travel to the 9th floor (longer than the ”few minutes” mentioned on the note on the wall). There is no comfortable way to use the shower for this, as there’s no way to hold it for 7-10 minutes, so I let the water run in the sink and checked it sporadically, so it wouldn't overflow. There is no ceiling exhaust fan, only a window, which cannot be left open because it has no bug screen. Again, minor inconveniences after all, but there is the 4-star rating to consider….I hope these comments will be more helpful than annoying for the host, because the place is so full of potential, it could be perfect, with just a little bit of attention to detail!

The apartment was fabulous and had everything you needed. So clean and great facilities such as air con, wifi and smart tv. Hosts were excellent and so attentive and responsive.

The building the apartment is situated in is quite run down. The pillows are not very comfortable.

I stay every 2 weeks in Bucharest, and whenever Up in the Sky is free, I rent it. It is simply the best rental appt in the city. Top location, top terrace, top view, top people to work with.

Great location, next to lovely park. Easy to find and clear instructions! Super cozy inside, feels like home and terrace is amazing!
