Wingate by Wyndham Christiansburg

We picked this hotel because we stayed here before in May & it was fine. This time it was very unkempt. The lobby area smells like bleach. Very little staff w/poor customer svc. Very often no one was @ the desk! Main men’s bathroom was left in disgusting condition for days. No wipes or paper towels in gym. We requested housekeeping & did NOT get it. Towels were always low when requested. We really should receive a partial refund 781-389-1503

No roll-aways available for an extra person. No pillows for an extra person. Breakfast was empty, and what was there was terrible quality. Lobby looked like a 3rd world barren empty shell. There was like 1 gatorade available in the snacks area, and a couple of old bags of chips. Very strange.

We needed more towels & were told they didn’t have anymore hand towels. The men’s bathroom in the lobby was disgusting for days. Asked for towels the second day & were given small pool towels. We asked if we could have housekeeping svc they said sure yet it was NOT when we returned in the evening. The gym had no towels or wipes & the trash was overflowing. I would not recommend this hotel or stay here again.

Hotel was not clean and no breakfast served although paid for it .. checkin was bad as computers were down... overall bad experience....

We're really disappointed that the pool isn't open.

Shady. Maybe 80/night at the most hotel. I paid 250 night and we had no towels for 2 days, I paid cash and they charged my card saying I didnt pay, ( police report pending) asked 4 times for toilet paper and was told not to ask the housekeeper because they don’t speak English. Food is sparce. Waffle machine handle broke and they have a plastic fork taped to it and you still need help to get to it. Elevator 1 of 2 out of service. They had a very nice gentlemen running the front desk and food, and housekeeping issues, by himself, the food area had no other staff in the building, he got out of his wheelchair to get us 2 wash clothes from housekeeping closet, said we have to come back after 9 am for towels (after asking a total of 5 times) didn’t have the heart to ask him for milk, eggs, at 7:45 am they were out of 3/4 of the food. I went out to eat. Several families wanted to check out and they were standing waiting for food to be restocked before they left, but they had to wait as there were 6 families in line to check out. Trash overflowing, we took pictures for the main company to see. I’ve never complained at a hotel and this had me almost iriate. Our room was clean and fairly comfortable.

Out check in manager was very helpful! She was the only one working and was very busy but she took it all in stride and handled it extremely well! She deserves a raise!!!

A nice room but there was no breakfast! Not even coffee. Add the cost of breakfast to your budget.

Front desk person was very nice, Hotel had a run down, sparse feeling. It looked like they tried to upgrade the rooms but it was not done well, holes in walls, had cobwebs and dust in the room, no tv remote and you could hear every noise in the hallway. Bed was comfortable and it was ok for a one night stay.
