Super friendly and helpful staff, lovely place to stay, great location next to beach

The steamer in is just lovely ' the staff inc Debbie ' Sue and all others are all so so friendly ' lovely people ' the pub /restaurent is lovely and has amazing views ' lovely esplanade walks ' breakfast is wonderful Oy downside booked with large balcony 'room was very small ' looked bigger in photos ' i guess you pay more because of balcony and ocean front ' but amazing view from sitting in bed as was only a foot till windows ' Spoke to them also as bath products were 11 years out of date !! And need new loo brush ' and little extra cleaning Def go again ' just needed little tweeks

Amazing place to stay! The hospitality was off the scale! Very friendly and helpful staff who always greeted you with a smile. The room was bright, spacious and very clean with a terrace where you can sit and enjoy the sea view. The bed was so comfortable and, together with the sound of the sea, guaranteed a good night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious, a nice choice of menu, which set us up perfectly for a day of long walks and sight seeing. Would definitely recommend a stay here. Hope to return again soon 🙂

We stayed here for 3 nights & enjoyed it immensely as the Steamer Inn is in an excellent location. The room with the balcony was great - lovely to wake up every morning to the view of the sea. The reception staff were very welcoming. Several choices on the breakfast menu but our favourite meal was the early evening meal which we had on our 1st night. All in all a very pleasant interlude.

Lovely location overlooking Shanklin beach. Staff were very friendly and we had everything we needed.

I stayed at the Steamer Inn with my partner for an anniversary trip. Georgie the manager was so welcoming from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent and very generous portions. Service was second to none. Highly recommend getting a balcony room overlooking the ocean. Only down sides were no blackout curtains in the room and dining and balcony chairs slightly uncomfortable. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Great sea views and access to beach

Decent sized room, not seaview but to the side so could still hear sea. Shower was brilliant, powerful and hot. Quiet enough even though bar below. (The bar had different closing times due to covid) Plenty of choice at breakfast, i had different items each day all good quality. I ate at the Inn most evenings because as i was staying i could book a table - given the covid situation and hospitality in UK generally struggling for staff all restaurants/bars had some restrictions in 1 way or another, including 1st come 1st served, early closing, etc. The food was great, big portions and tasty, the garlic chicken and fish crumble were my favourites. The biggest asset were the staff who were awesome, from arrival to departure. All hard working, helpful and super friendly, the duty managers were always visible, whether at breakfast or taking my payment at the end of an evening, not hiding away in an office. A resilient team, front and back of house, doing their job professionally, with good grace and friendliness - i was really impressed. Made my stay really enjoyable, thank you.
