This is a well-loved ex-family home that was perfect for our family of 9 people plus 4 dogs! The house was very comfortable and spacious with almost everything we needed. The heat pump kept us lovely and warm. The back and front yards are fully fenced, so great for kids and dogs. It was a very short walk (5 minutes) to the hot springs and Hanmer Village with a great range of shops, cafes, restaurants, mini golf, and the Village Cruiser bikes. Things to note: This is a well-loved holiday home with visible wear and tear, however, that suited us travelling with kids and dogs! There is no washing machine, just a dryer. There are two laundromats in the Hanmer village centre just a few minutes away. There was no hairdryer. Bring extra tea towels and dishcloths as they only provide a couple.

The house was clean but needed a deep clean (ie, windows, carpet cleaning). If you're looking for something really modern and fancy, this is not for you! But if you're like us travelling with kids and dogs, it's perfect!

Location was close, beds were comfortable.

The house was very unclean, old food and grease all over the knobs of the oven, the blinds were splattered with fat and food from previous guests, fridge smelt every-time we opened it, shower base filled up with water and wouldn't drain properly. Very rough inside and full of dust everywhere. The back lawn where the kids were playing was covered in sharp objects, we found over 4 nails, a rusty big piece of metal, broken sharp spikes of plastic, all which would have badly cut their little feet, so we're unable to play on the lawn. Front door doesn't close without force. Just needs a bit of attention really. For the amount we paid for the stay we were disappointed in the cleanliness and standard of the house to be honest.

The house needs some TLC. With the standard of the property the nighty rate was high.

The location and size of house was great. Awesome to be able to have our dog and was fully fenced, a small portion of fence at the front of the property was lower, so probably not good for jumpers. The house had everything we needed! Great having a second toilet too.

A few areas could have been a little cleaner, like the floors and some blankets. Needed a few finer detail things which would have been nice but not a deal breaker.....like washing basket and maybe a clothes horse, and some net curtains for abit more privacy especially in the lounge and kitchen. Also, without an extractor in the kitchen, it was pretty bad cooking at night.

Location, comfortable, spacious bedrooms, clean, great communication.

Only 1 kitchen knife and chopping board was a bit slow going feeding large family of 8! But if that's the worst, it's pretty bloody great! Highly recommend.

Spacious living and bedrooms. Walking distance to hot pools. Great central heating.

Oven needed cleaning.
