Cactus Inn

We're snowbirds that like staying at unique hotels as we drive from Phoenix to Maryland - especially ones with a 1950's Rt 66 vibe. This is a fun one. Important facts - its also clean and the staff were really friendly. Had a fridge and little cafe table in the "suite" that only cost us $10 more than the standard room. Worth it! Only one convenience store in town so get your meals to go and bring them with you.

The best hotel I stayed at on my cross country trip. Every room was themed as a different state in Route 66 and the staff was amazing and kind.

It was interesting staying in a real western atmosphere. The room was spotless and there was even a bag of popcorn for us. However the only restaurant in town was closed so after a long travel we just called it a night. It was too far off the beaten path to return again.

Super cute hotel. Our room was “New Mexico” for Route 66. Would stay again if In the area. Two ladies who run the hotel are very nice and helpful.

Old style roadside motel. Room and bathroom were clean. Shower stall only, no tub. Large fridge with separate freezer. A/c worked well. T V was Roku .

The room was amazing. All new, clean and stylish. Bottled water for convenience. The lady who runs the place was very helpful and we also had a nice chat. I would absolutely recommend to stay there.

This is just such a great place to stay. If you're traveling with pets, they're always so courteous and their rooms are always so tidy. It's very convenient on our way out to Southern Colorado

Our stay was the best experience so far on our cross country move with our Husky/Shepherd mix. The room was large, tiled floors, great A/C and the decor was perfect. It is an older establishment but so much better than modern chain hotels. Highly recommend.

We have now stayed at Cactus Inn twice and have enjoyed both our stays! Each room is unique and decorated for Route 66. On our first stay, my daughter left her large fuzzy blanket and they willingly held it for us (and washed it) until we stayed again a month later. The staff is kind and exceptional!
