I was a little concerned when I saw a small, independent hotel in a tiny little town, but it was nicer than a lot of much more expensive hotels. It's a short walk to an excellent steakhouse, too.

Quaint Route 66 motor hotel we had room 11 which was large, with a sofa and tv as well as a small coffee prep area, and table with chairs, along with full bath and king bed. There is a small refrigerator and a microwave in the prep area. Tile floor and wall Mounted AC unit. All in working order. Next door is a steak house with many selections and it’s a short walk into town where there is a cafe and bar.

We were "underwhelmed" when we got our first glimpse of the Cactus Inn. The exterior is not impressive, but our room was very clean and comfortable. It had a refrigerator AND a microwave which is rare in the budget hotels. We were even provided with complimentary bottled water and microwave popcorn! The steakhouse right next door was outstanding as well (good thing, since there were no other restaurants open at 8PM!)

Fabulous motel. Super clean, large rooms. Highly recommended staying here.

This icon motel along Route 66 has been nicely remodeled with rooms decorated in good taste with a vanity dresser/ mirror. Room 12, the Marilyn Monroe, has a King bed, retro style microwave, wide range of shows on TV, coffee maker, Mr. Heater and refrig. It is located far enough off I40 to give you peace at night yet easy off and on access back to travel

What a fabulous place! Everything was perfect. Clean and spacious.

The hotel is unique, but comfortable. Never saw anyone on the office, but the person who cleans the rooms helped us check in. There are very limited eating options in town, but the hotel was a good place to stay for the night.

The Cactus Inn was just fine, maybe a bit dated, but there really weren’t too many alternatives to choose from in this area of Texas.
