Leiria Fatima Nazaré 3 Bedroom House

I liked this apartment. We are a family of four, elderly parents travelling with grown up sons. We have been very busy travelling in the center of Portugal. Sometimes day trips but also stayed over a night or more than 1night. There is a lot to see in Portugal. We went to Covilha, Belmonte and Sabugal. Then we travelled to Castelo Branco, Fundao and Guarda. Then to Viseu and Aveiro..So to Abrantes and Torres Novas. Everyone has to travel to Belmonte and Abrantes. The view from Abrantes is something very special. Ana taught me how to use GPS on the thelephone so it has been so much easier to travel. Thanks, Ana. Our first night in Leiria we went to the city center and had a lovly meal there. When we came to the flat I was standing in the kitchen, when something touched my legs, I looked down and saw a black cat rolling over on the floor, asking for attention. We had a good time in Leiria and also in Nazare. Thank for everything, Victor and Ana.

It was a beautiful old apartment which had been updated and modernized. The kitchen was well equipped and very easy to work in. The whole house, to include living room, dining area, porch and bedroom were very comfortable. We felt quite at home and the rural neighborhood was very quiet. Our hosts, Victor and Anna, we’re wonderful. Victor met us at the house and gave us a bottle of delicious local Portuguese wine. He was easy to communicate with and gave us many helpful travel tips for the area. The location was great, only 1/2 hour from either Fatima or Nazare and parking was easy as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Not a thing.

The house was big, very clean and comfortable for our family of 5. The views and surroundings were beautiful and it only took a quick 5-7 minutes drive to Leiria. Victor was welcoming and friendly and gave us a tour of the house. Would recommend.

The only thing we didn't like was that the house was freezing cold inside and even though there were heaters, it was controlled by the landlord, so we couldn't adjust it to our liking.

The host (Victor and Ana) were very helpful and friendly. They reached us prior to our stay and provided useful info to the area (including recommendations for local restaurants). They were very reachable and responsible in providing prompt answers to all our questions. The house is super clean with spacious rooms for 4 of us. The best part of this house is the internet connection. I was able to work using my laptop and attend conference calls without any interruption and the internet speed was fast. We were very happy during our stay. Recommend strongly if you visit Leira or nearby locations!

Because there is no AC in the house, we were affected by the extremely hot and humid heat wave (over 100 F) for couple days during our stay. The host provided us some useful tips (e.g. close the double doors in the balcony during the day).
