Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Nashville near Vanderbilt

This location is perfect for getting downtown or visiting Vanderbilt. It’s great to be away from the crowds on Broadway.

Larry Manghane and Candace Shyne were put with a hard task of relocating our party due to the influx of guests from the Coldplay concert. They were fast to respond and guided me in the right direction to make everything transition well. They were very understanding of our situation and would have them help me with any problem if I could.

Clean, bright, welcoming. Great location and service.

Within walking distance to Vanderbilt. Newer hotel, clean rooms, ample space, gym and small pool. 5 minute drive to Honky Town or could hop on a bus or Uber. Secure parking for a fee but we checked out the area and parked on the street without any issue. There is a random vacant pay to park next to hotel but NOT owned by hotel so we skipped that. Restaurants within walking distance-local Nashville was a block away with great food and music and so was Maggianos’s for great Italian. Decent breakfast but they shut down at 9am promptly. Pool table All in all a great choice if you don’t want to be smack in the middle of tourist attractions.

Parking is a nightmare. Too small Trucks cannot maneuver Wrecked our truck and has massive damage. Hotel staff could have cared less. Horrible experience.

We needed a place close to Vanderbilt hospital, and this location was great. They did not have the room type I reserved available when we checked in, but this was offset by comping the parking. The room was quite satisfactory, with a small fridge, Keurig machine, and microwave. No room safe though. The bathroom was big enough, but no fan....so easy on the burritos. The breakfast was excellent, with biscuits, gravy, chicken-fried steak (!), and plenty of other goodies. No issues with noise, A/C was plenty strong. We need to come back to Vanderbilt again and I think we'll stay hear next time as well.

In town for another visit to Vanderbilt hospital, we opted for a hotel this time, as the previous Airbnb had a queen bed, and we don't usually don't sleep in the same bed. This hotel was less than a mile from Vanderbilt hospital. I had reserved a room with 2 queen beds, but there weren't any available when we arrived for check-in. Instead of waiting for them to clean the room, we went with a king bed (and got comped the daily parking fee). Room 717 proved to be nice and cold when we showed up. Plenty of room for luggage, etc. (though no room safe). A small fridge, Keurig machine, and a microwave. The bathroom actually had plenty of counter space (but no fan (easy on the Mexican food hubbies). The shower was quite big as well. The included buffet breakfast was quite good, with biscuits, gravy, sausage, chicken-fried steak(!), plus the other usual fare. I used the gym one morning, and it was very well equipped. The wifi and TV functioned adequately, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We will have to return to Vanderbilt again, and I think we'll stay at the Fairfield Inn next time as well. Plenty of dining options within walking distance. Recommended
