I loved the location with an excellent view from the restaurant and front of the hotel. The restaurant staff were mostly polite except for one breakfast person who made me feel like I was questioned for being there. No one made me feel that way in the previous mornings. or doubted my authenticity as a guest. I was able to order a sandwich lunch pack to go, the morning I was scheduled to go on a hike which was a nice touch.

1. No shower soap available for guests and no notification of this. I expected some in the shower and was very surprised when I stepped into one of the stalls and found out too late. I had to ask the next morning for a little shower gel and a big deal was made that they would give it to me for free. This is an important oversight, particularly as I’ve already paid so much for the room. 2. Upon arrival there was no notification that I was to be charged an additional surcharge for paying for my stay with a non-Greenlandic credit card. There was no notification in advance when I booked the room. The right thing would have been to let the customer know upfront so they can be aware of this before arriving at the hotel. I was told upon questioning the surcharge that I should have taken out cash, and I can go to do that at the bank down the street. Seeing as this booking was going onto my credit card that was not an option at a time. This was a major oversight that should have been communicated prior to my arrival in Greenland at the time I booked the hotel. The lack of communication really was not a good start to my stay at the hotel. 3. Constant pee in the toilet with the toilet seat and lead both left up. It was disgusting and shows that the time that was not cleaned out as a regular royalty as can be expected.
