The Grosvenor Arms

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had in all of England staying at this charming inn. The food was outstanding as well as the service and staff. I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially if you want to visit several of the southern Pride and Prejudice movie sites such as Stourhead or Wilson House. Stonehenge is also close by! Great location!

The welcome at the Grosvenor Arms was great and the homemade cookies on arrival were a lovely touch. The room was a good size, clean, in a lovely condition and quietly facing away from the road. The bathroom was clean and easy to use. The bar was lively in the evening for a friendly pint or two. The breakfast was delicious, in a good quantity and with quality, local ingredients.

The breakfast was included which was a nice touch and the food was very high quality and fresh. Staff were friendly as was the manager and you get a complimentary cookie from the kitchen on arrival in your room. Very cosy comfortable and spacious rooms in a loverly area. Location was perfect. Very expensive

Room smelt damp. Told we had to move car if someone wanted the electric space and we could park on the street. That was the only space available and the street was full. We had booked 3 rooms for 5 people so we had luggage! I was under the impression that there was parking but there was only enough space for 6 or so cars. I would like to have been treated with more respect considering the amount of money we had paid. We did not stay for breakfast as I was told it was £20 per person but the items were listed individually.

We arrived on a very hot day and the outside space was perfect for dinner. The staff were all very welcoming and polite and the room was cosy. We would definitely like to return.

This is a beautiful place to stay, stunning inside and out. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was delicious and room was clean and very comfort. I would recommend.
