Hotel & Restaurant Gasthaus Zum Anker

I can't imagine a better place to stay. Utterly beautiful. Room was massive and comfy. The restaurant was beyond amazing. And the staff was lovely. If you happen to get stranded in a small town in Germany, this is exactly the spot you want to be in.

The Hotel manager was super friendly and called me upon my arrival to check my arrival time. As I was arriving quiet late he arranged for the key to be stationed in a lock-box. Check In therefore was super easy and convenient! The room is really big, beautiful and modern furnitured, and everything was clean. Breakfast was also delicious and arranged with a lovely touch!

The windows seem quiet new, however the noice from morning cars using the road in front of the hotel to get to work was a little irritating. Normally I'm not a light sleeper.

The staff were very friendly, the location was beautiful, right next to the river - we were lucky enough to see the Elbe at dusk and dawn. The food was also very good.
