Staff and room were nice. They tried to help with every request with a friendly attitude.

Beach was pretty dirrty, hotel was hard to reach if you dont have a scooter

The pictures used in their blurb where l believe taken in the house that wasn't for rent. I was not told about the outside toilet nor shower, etc.Plus, at night, they were covered in ants. Having to lock the door and then unlock in middle of night as next door was raging not nice.Not being able to take alcohol or food in was not in broucher. The outside dining was hot, far too expensive. The road in was just rediculous and dangerous and meant you had to use their driver all the time. There is no mention of this in broucher. You could not walk out to do anything. It should be spruked as a retreat. Not a resort. I would have liked to be moved by booking.com, but it was late, and being tired, it slipped my mind. But now l would like part if not all of my 1000 returned. As this was not what l was expecting AT ALL. I will say that none of this was the staffs fault, just not marketed correctly.

Wonderful expérience. The place is charming, very quiet, the staff was great, and very nice. It was great to have a room just between the swimming pool. The food is good , and each day, we have tried different local recipes. Don't go there for the beach..as almost every where on lovina beach, it is dirty .too bad

It was a quite location with nice pool and comfy bed. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Location is maybe a bit remote but nothing you cannot solve by renting a scooter :-)

This is a tiny collection of villas. The staff, from Esther, who was among the most charming, knowledgeable, welcoming, friendly, and helpful staff we have ever dealt with to the night security guard. Every single person we encountered at In Balance balance were a joy to be with. The restaurant menu was limited, but everything we ate at the multiple meals we had there was delicious and quite reasonably priced. Their goal is to provide anything you need and if they can’t, to make contact with someone who can and will provide it for you. Yes, for example, when I wanted a strong stronger massage than the usual masseuse provides, Esther called her mother to get the name of the lady who gives mom strong massages and there she was! Rides into town? No problem. Transport to Ubud? No problem. The only possible negative to comment on is that this hotel is rather off the beaten track. Perfect if you’re looking for quiet and isolation but don’t expect beach traffic and souvenir shops. Paul, the owner, actually wrote us a personal email, apologizing for the fact that he would be out of town during our visit. Esther sent us a separate highly personalized email offering thanks and support. A very special place.

The meals were fantastic. The staff were great. The facilities were perfect.

Fantastisk lille sted med smukke lækre villaer, pool og havudsigt. Folkene lavede den lækreste mad og kom med gode forslag til lokale retter, vi skumle prøve.

Beautiful facilities, especially the outdoor bathroom. Friendly staff who looked after our every need with minimal fuss. We were able to request particular dishes for our evening meals. As it only caters for a small number of guests we had the place to ourselves most of the time. Felt more like a villa stay.

Beach front was unfortunately littered and did not feel like somewhere to relax or swim. Swim up bar was not staffed.
