Ishibekoji Muan is simply exceptional — an intimate, refined ryokan in the heart of Gion. The design is flawless, the service is discreet and warm, and the atmosphere feels truly timeless. A perfect blend of elegance, comfort, and authentic Kyoto charm. Absolutely top-tier. The staff was truly incredible: attentive, warm, and flawlessly dedicated to creating an unforgettable stay.

"A unique and peaceful stay in Kyoto"

This was such a special place to stay! The team made a huge effort to make us feel welcome. I had messaged them in advance about my boyfriend’s severe allergies and they went out of their way to accommodate us for a traditional Japanese breakfast. Which was delicious! As well as find restaurants that could accommodate allergies. We had such a peaceful night sleep and woke up feeling refreshed for a day of sightseeing around Kyoto, with everything on our doorstep.

"A warm and unforgettable stay , I already miss it."

I loved how clean and cozy everything was. The room felt warm, welcoming, and very comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and the whole atmosphere made my stay feel very special.

The only thing I didn’t like is that I had only two nights in Kyoto. It wasn’t enough for such a charming city, and I wish I had more time to enjoy everything. That’s really the only “complaint” I have.

Tout était absolument parfait, l’accueil que nous avons eu, le confort et la beauté de la chambre, l’emplacement en plein cœur du quartier de Gion. Un gros plus pour l’hospitalité du personnel, chaque détail est pensé pour recevoir les clients. C’est une merveille! Encore merci d’avoir rendu notre séjour si spécial.

İlk riyokan tecrübemizdi ve iyi ki bunu yapmısız dedik. Odanın tüm detayları ve calısanlar cok ilgili ve güleryüzlüydü. Japon kültürünü yaşamak için kesinlikle değerlendirilmeli. Oda büyüklüğü çok genişti. Kahvaltılardan çok memnun kaldık. Banyomuzda onsen vardı ve günün yorgunlugunu üzerimizden almak icin harika bir tercihti. Çalışanlar çok yardımseverdi, checkout sonrası bizi ugurlayıp, taksiye kadar eslik ettiler. Her sey icin tesekkürler!
