Cross Inn

Such a wonderful place to stay at what feels like the top of the Isle of Lewis (nearly is). Food was some of the best we had in three weeks of road tripping. Owners were so kind and friendly, helped us to plan to see the most things possible in one day. Highly recommend.

Beautiful room, excellent breakfast and cute old pub

Small but sweet hotel, nice room with very comfy bed and shower room. Was a little confused when we arrives as no one was in the main building at the front, the whole thing looked closed. We bumped into some other residents who guided us to the pub at the back of the building where wer found the lovely and helpful staff members who checked us in. Room lovely size, but no dressing table/mirror area. TV, wardrobe and single lounge chair in there though. Went to the pub for a drink but we arrive after food as we were on the late ferry. Great selection of drinks, but more staff than customers in, even though the hotel was full. It was a Monday night though! Breakfast served buffet style in the restaurant which was accessible from the room inside the building. Terrific selection, well cooked Scottish breakfast options and plenty of continental options. All you would wish for in a breakfast included in the room rate. Although they did stop serving at 9.15, so you need to get in early.

Fresh feel to the room. Exceptionally clean. Only drawback is the lack of a chair (but understandable given the size of the room). Good breakfast and plenty of choice - food could have been a little hotter on the second morning of our stay.

Although the Internet was unreliable, the food was excellent the bar was fun, rooms cozy and the beds comfy and proprietors were smart and accommodating.

Super well appointed and charming. Note, bar and diner only accessible via outdoor path about 30-40 feet which seems longer in “brisk” weather.

Lovely and comfortable lttle Inn. Food was lovely with nice choice on menu, vegans catered for too. Staff were extremely helpful and so friendly. Lovely stay for 2 nights, would definitely book again
