Giorio was an incredible host! Met us once we got to Manarola. Provided complimentary coffee and WiFi. The room and the terrace were wonderful and peaceful to be away from the crowds, but still a great location!

The place looked just like the pictures. The location was very good. Giorgio met as as we got off the train, which we really appreciated. He walked us to our place, which was ready for early check in (which we also appreciated) and helped with the luggage. He gave us info about the Cinque Terre trail pass and answered other questions.

I stayed there with my son, so I purposely got a place with two beds - a bed and a pull out couch. When we got home from dinner at 10:30pm, we discovered that the pull out bed did not have linens. We messaged Giorgio, but he was not available. The next day, he told me that, in order to have the second bed made up, I had to specify this in the reservation. He said that it said this on booking.com, but I just looked at the listing again and it does not say that. I think he should have asked when we arrived, or at least left linens. He said no, no, no, the fault was mine. Then he said he'd make up the bed for the next day for free as a courtesy. I said: you charge to have the 2nd bed made up? And he said yes, if it's not specified in the first place. Even though he was courteous and helpful in other ways, I didn't appreciate this. Also, just make sure you don't stay there when they're having a village dance party in the square - I was up all night the first night.

La ubicación es perfecta, alado de la estación de tren. El anfitrión es muy majo y nos dió muy buenas recomendaciones. La habitación era tranquila y agradable, descansamos muy bien las dos noches.

Se oía constantemente pasar el tren (tanto de dia como de noche) es verdad que dormimos bien de todas formas. Faltaban algunos utensilios de la cocina (platos, tenedores,…) que serían de buena utilidad, ya que hay una mesa donde tomar algo o desayunar. Una de las ventanas no tenía contraventanas (las otras dos si), se agradecería que pusieran en esa también para que no entre la luz.

The noise - and there’s nothing the owners can do about it! The main intercity railway line runs under the bedroom and trains run every 10-15 minutes all through the night. Having ear plugs doesn’t even begin to block out the noise. It’s absolutely terrible. Having a coffee machine right outside your door which everyone uses is also noisy. No where to store your clothes. Shower never really got hot.
