The Victoria Hotel

Fabulous meals. Very clean. Large room. Comfortable.

While the hotel only had a shared bathroom it was very clean and did not cause any issue at all.

Clean, comfy, great food.

The hotel was convenient for the trip we were doing and the room was nice and spacious. Staff were helpful and the food in the bistro was decent.

The staff seemed ok. The staff in the bistro were excellent, the more senior blonde lady was really great she was wonderful with the 7 children we had in our party.

Only 1 male toilet and one female toilet. You have to dry and change an the wet shower. I had to shove plastic into the window to stop it rattling all night. I believe the door handle should be lever not smooth round knobs.

I was pleasantly surprised at our 'pub' stay. It was very clean and tidy and didn't smell like some pubs do and was not too noisy. We enjoyed the quiet sleepy fishing village feel but others might find it too quiet. The rooms with multiple beds in them worked for us and we're happy to pay a lower price and have shared bathrooms

You need to be aware that it is an 1800s pub so the floors are not all flat and the stairs are steep. That wasn't a problem for us. The gaming room and pub downstairs might make some feel uncomfortable but that's what you sign up for!
