Annandale Street - 201

location is perfect. The appartement is nice size. Even though the two bedrooms are next to eachother, you don't hear eachother (with normal use, don't know if you would yell or so). The two bathrooms, the twin is ensuite, are handy. As is the little hall belonging to the twin. Decent kitchen. Utilities available, also hand-soap in the two bathrooms and the kitchen. Cleaning stuff available in kitchen. We did not cook, but the stove looks ok. We did use the oven and microwave. Good size fridge (there is also a freezer, we didn't use, but looked ok). Small tv, but nicely placed with big sofas, so you can relax easily. It has a dvd player, we didn't use, but if we had know/realized earlier, we would have taken dvds with us :-).

Maintenance is needed! Water kettle is to be replaced (leaking). The bath-faucet leaks also. Main bathroom toilet-brush was clumsy fixed, broke again during our stay. The windows and doors are of poor quality, don't close well and you get draught. The sofas in the livingroom need new, sturdy, pillows. We doubt whether the plumming & electrical is up to code. Oven knobs need replacement (are partly pushed too far in). Here and there fixing the plaster and paint again would also improve this potential beautiful appartement. During the day the heating was not on. Heating is on timer. We read too late, that you can overrule, so we were cold hahaha. You do hear the outside (most probable because the doors draught), but since the street is not busy, it dpesn't distrubed us. You hear especially the busses backing (Lorhian maintenance center is across the street). And if people talk in the hallway, you hear it in the appartement (so be quiet if you arrive/leave, especially at night!) Bedmatrasses are soft. Some like that, we don't. The appartement could use coat and towel racks. None available. More than ofter holiday-stays have bad kitwork and mold, that we NOT the case here! Compliments for that.
