Very spacious and have everything we needed. Close to beach and several places to eat.

We were looking for an experience at a comfortable traditional house and this was a great choice. Comfy bed, great shower, house equipped with several useful things (e.g. beach towels, waterproof phone case for snorkeling, coffee powder, Brita water filter….). The owner really makes you feel welcome without ever meeting you (all checkin and checkout through a locker by the door).

Minor things that for us were not an issue but might be for others: dirt road path to the house a bit bumpy; bathroom had a bit of sewage smell sometimes (don’t think there actual plumbing in the area).

The shower is good.

It is way too small for a family of 4. You absolutely have to get a rental car. There are no restaurants open in the area for dinner, no convenience stores, and no local bus service in either direction in the evening. And taxis operate at their convenience, not yours. However the beaches are beautiful as is the sea life, and that is what you come to Ishigaki for… But if you are travelling half way around the world for a vacation in Okinawa, do your research before booking or simply get that rental car.

The host thought of everything one would need on vacation! We went to Ishigaki to snorkel so the house was a great location near Yonehara Beach and Crystal Beach. It was great to have a fully equipped kitchen to cook our own meals, yet there were many restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Staff were very helpful, answered all our questions, and messaged us quickly. You can do some nice stargazing right in the garden on clear nights. Everything was so clean and it looks well taken care of. The shower was powerful and nice bathroom, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook some meals. I liked the extra things like yoga mats or games too, nice surprise.

It’s a small thing, but the blinds in the bedroom let in a lot of light in the morning.

Wonderful location for getting almost anywhere on the island in 30 minutes or less by rental car. Very comfortable beds and nicely appointed.

Nothing about the property was not to our liking. We did encounter issues trying to find places to eat out at night because all the nearby locations in Kabira required reservations (which we were not aware of).

Maybe because the owner was a Japanese woman, she paid attentions to every detail of the place from kitchen to bathroom to bathroom and living room, just to make sure we felt comfortable and welcomed with free drinks and smacks. You can go the without anything and this cottage has everything for your vacation needs. I really felt her care for the guests. Better than any hotels.

Close to Blue Cave for diving and snorkeling. Beautiful beaches are only 3 minutes away. A small cafe is across the street and very quiet. You can walk down to a coral beach.

Exceptional service from the staff. Spacious apartment, above expectation. Close to the beach and facilities.
