Oyado Raku

The owner is very friendly and very helpful. I didn’t come by car and they offered me a lift to the station.

Clean and comfortable accommodation about 40 mins walk from Takayama centre. Good bathroom, fridge, microwave and hot water available to guests.

No public transport to the accommodation. It is a lovely walk to and from town which is fine when you don't have luggage but when I arrived the only way was to pay for a taxi. The owners very kindly gave me a lift back to the train station when I checked out though.

Large room with very comfy beds and a view in a very quiet and pretty location. Our host and hostess couldn’t do enough for us - they were very friendly, helpful and courteous, as were their two little boys. For anyone wanting a more personalized and authentic stay in Takayama than a modern hotel can provide, this is the place for you!

Everything was perfect!

To get to the this guest house, there is no bus or train. I have to use taxi to get there as the place is at the top of hill away from the station. There is no restaurants near this. I had to walk 20 mins to get the only convenience store for the meal.

The view from hotel is very beautiful.
