Large modern apartment, all the amenities were available. Pretty close to city center. Two bathrooms. Overall nice stay.

Just like a hundred other tourists, we were pretty upset by the need to remove the bedding from the dirty mattresses (it would take 2 minutes more for the cleaning staff, but woul be a serious raise in the rating!), taking trash out when only 1 local trash bag is provided, and missing adapters for the appliances that are provided. Too bad that Happy Rentals are reluctant to fix such simple things.

~Distance between office and apartment doesn’t sound like much, but walking to the apartment from the train station with our backpacks at the end of a long day, realizing the office is at a different location (yes this is disclosed in the information package but still doesn’t make sense till you get there), walking there (don’t forget how many hills there are in Lugano), getting the keys and then a bus part way back was a lot. It would be better if a/ there were distinct directions to first go to the office at the provided address or b/ have a lockbox directly at the apartment to retrieve keys. The systems at our previous 2 apartments were much easier for us as weary guests. ~Strange smell in apartment, like it was closed up too much, like a musty cupboard sort of. ~Very noisy street for having balcony doors open ~Part of policy is that we’re asked to remove all bedding. No guest wants to see what’s under those sheets. ~It would be helpful to have an image of the garbage disposals added to the other photos given to us. We don’t have the same system where we are from. We talked at length about it before my daughter figured out where they were and how they work.

Diese Unterkunft war mit Abstand die schlimmste Erfahrung, die wir je gemacht haben. Schon beim Betreten der Wohnung kam uns ein extrem starker, unangenehmer Geruch entgegen. Es war unmöglich, sich länger als ein paar Minuten in den Räumen aufzuhalten. Wir hatten ernsthaft Sorge um unsere Gesundheit und haben die Unterkunft deshalb sofort wieder verlassen. Darüber hinaus war die Wohnung in einem völlig inakzeptablen Zustand: dreckig, ungepflegt und mit Haaren überall. Der Gesamteindruck war wie eine verwüstete, verlassene Wohnung. In einigen Zimmern standen provisorische Betten, was den Eindruck noch verschlimmert hat und absolut nichts mit den Bildern im Angebot zu tun hatte. Besonders enttäuschend war der Umgang des Personals. Trotz der offensichtlichen Zustände wurde uns keinerlei alternative Lösung angeboten. Es gab kein Entgegenkommen, keine Unterstützung – nichts. Wir mussten kurzfristig selbst eine neue Unterkunft in einer anderen Stadt buchen, was zusätzlichen Stress und Kosten verursacht hat. Ich kann diese Unterkunft absolut niemandem empfehlen. Lassen Sie sich nicht von den Fotos täuschen – die Realität ist schockierend. Wenn möglich, sollten Sie einen großen Bogen um dieses Angebot machen.

Location was great - accessible to main areas and station. Welcome bottle on arrival was a nice touch.

Very tired and dated. Furniture was old, in poor condition, and beds exceptionally uncomfortable. The facilities were poor - the hairdryer didn't fit any plugs for example. Upon leaving you are asked to strip the beds - I wish we hadn't complied as when we did so, we had to see disgustingly stained mattresses, pillows and duvets. You also have to collect and drop keys from somewhere 20 mins away which is really inconvenient - they should invest in a lock box. They granted our request to leave keys on property otherwise we would have missed our train so that was kind. If owners invested a little more in updating the deco and ensuring facilities were fit for purpose it would be a great place to stay. Overall it did the job as somewhere to stay but pictures make it out to be much nicer than the reality.
