The owners were so very kind. The mom made us fresh food and always asked us if we needed anything.

I should start by saying that the hosting family is very nice and welcoming. The breakfast is very good.

Not all rooms have air conditioning, which is super important in the summertime. The building itself is not air-conditioned. There are three floors with no elevator, of course. The villa itself is very old, with a gloomy atmosphere for those who like it. The walls, the furniture, and the floor carpets are very old. Even the sheets and towels are old. Cleanliness is 6/10. The rooms only have old furniture. The mattress is old and very stiff; we had a hard time sleeping on it. There are no appliances in the room, no minibar/fridge, and no kettle or coffee machine. You have to find food elsewhere at driving distance, and the fact that there's no fridge or any appliance in the room makes it very difficult.

Our experience at Villa Montecatini was nothing short of exceptional. Elena and Massimo exude hospitality and we were so grateful to be welcomed into their home. The property is stunning and the amenities were wonderful. The pool was unbelievable. We will 100% be back.
