Silver Birches Resort

Loved coming back after a hike and reading a book on our balcony or down in a chair by the lake. Very relaxing! The nightly sunset champagne toast and fire pits were an added touch. Would definitely return.

We stayed at the offsite property at Millbrook Cove. It had not been cleaned in quite some time. The room was dusty. There are no amenities here. I asked about a BBQ and was told by the office "there should be one somewhere". There was a dirty BBQ parked by one of the units, but it looked to belong to that unit. The dishes were dirty and greasy. There was no dishwasher soap stocked so I had to go back to the office 5 miles away to get some. They gave me 2 pods for a 4 night stay! I found under the kitchen sink a 3 oz bottle of Palmolive liquid dish soap that was 1/4 full and had been watered down. I didn't even try to get that replaced. There is no housekeeping during a 4 night stay. The balcony was in desperate need of a spring cleaning. The furniture was dirty with cobwebs. I tried to brush it off, but you really needed a bucket of soapy water and sponge. Not how I was going to spend my vacation. There were several spiders. A big one crawled out from under the pillow on the bed the first night and I was ready to check out. It was very late and my husband convinced me we should just hang in there. He killed the beast. I didn't sleep well. The people in the office were nice, but very busy and distracted. It was hard to hold anyone's attention long enough to be heard. I was brushed off very quickly at check in and barely acknowledged when I checked out. What is appalling to me is that they are charging $400 per night for this room. One of the dining chairs was broken. I could go on about this experience, but I think this is enough detail.

This is a lovely property. Beautiful views of the lake, nice pools, pet friendly and clean room. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely return.

The room was charming, with a window view of the lake and a terrace overlooking the lake as well. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. A continental breakfast was included - this was a nice bonus. Dogs are welcome :)
