Silver Birches Resort

Really nice place to stay! Older property which you can tell but clean and nice!

The views of the lake while obscured by trees from our patio were amazing, the sunset was glorious.

The apartment appeared dated with cheap looking carpet. All amenities worked but looked like they had been since the 70's

We had a beautiful suite overlooking the lake. The staff at check-in, check-out and during out stay were friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely balcony and enjoyed using the kayaks and swimming pool facilities. There is a nearby visitor center that provides a great deal of helpful information.

The balcony was not private as it was shared with the room next door. The kitchen only had one dish which didn't fit the microwave and a couple of bowls in the cabinets. We didn't realize until the third day there, when we were given an activity sheet with our breakfast, that the resort has two other hotel facilities near-by that can be used during the stay.

Beautiful lakefront location, large room, very good restaurant/bar, lovely staff, great amenities like adult and family pools, kayaks, SUPs, firepits, live music, games and books, free shuttle between other properties, and daily breakfast included.Definately visit the sister properties for a drink or dinner. All three are very different settings and equally beautiful.

Overall great stay but a few suggestions to elevate the experience. Our room was a little musty but understandable with an older property. Maybe a dehumidifier would be a good addition. The mattress could use an upgrade and a comfy reading chair and ottomon in the room. The historic chair was pretty but not really conducive to relaxing and reading. We loved your resort and would definately return.

Silver Birches has everything you could want in a lake front Pocono resort on Lake Wallenpaupack. Water activities, free activities each day, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, fishing rods, breakfast, complimentary champagne each evening, live music, 2 large outdoor pools and a hot tub, bonfires, small library and board game room, great restaurant (The Dock), hospitality shuttle in the summer seasons to take tours of the area, gorgeous lakefront sunsets.

I think that Booking.com should include all amenities that are offered at Silver Birches. Our Booking.com confirmation only included info on the room we rented. It did not add any of the other amenities which are also included in the price of the room. See amenities listed above that are included.

This is a beautiful, peaceful setting with beautiful rooms and great pools and hot tub. I am definitely going back!!

This place has long term memories for me, but I left this area almost 40 yrs ago, and it feels like the same town. All the rooms/bathrooms need updating. Bathrooms especially. The staff however are lovely. Just needs updating to the 2024 standards. And the cost of the room for the room is above and beyond, in my humble opinion.

Beautiful views and comfortable room. Nice pool. Restaurant was convenient and decent. Fire pits and champagne toast was lovely.

Room and balcony could be cleaner. Spider webs! Breakfast was cold.

Alot to say and only 1500 characters: * Accommodations assigned to us as Expedia guests were appauling. * Front Office staff refused to change our room after we reported all-night noise from pool equipment & safety lights right next to our "Luxury Suite" & then suddenly found a room when I became less friendly about our bad experience. * Second room in our group also unsatisfactory but Front Office claimed there were no more available rooms & then we observed a vacant room for 2 nights below the room we were moved to. * The property was poorly maintained & deeply understaffed and the staff they did have on duty were all students without anything but the most basic training. No hospitality skills. * The swimming pools were posted as off-limits for 2 of our 3 mornings until almost noon because "there was a problem with the chlorine". The problem was that they put the chlorine into the pool in the morning so of course the levels were too high. * We were made to feel unwelcome when we accidently sat in a cabana at the pool that was only available for $200 extra. Please note: The avg rate we paid was $450/nightx2 rooms x 3 nights which translates to more than $3,000. * Bathroom vents were full of dust/grime & the bathroom shower tile had not been properly cleaned in a long time as there was mildew in the grout. * Guests were freely smoking marijuana around the fire pits that were supposed to be for families & guests to enjoy in the fresh country air. * And on and on...
