I arrived in Xiamen in mid October 2020 and spent the next 14 days and nights confined to room 528, looking longingly out the window at the harbour or watching the Discovery Channel. On the good side, the room was clean (at the beginning of my stay, at least), modern and spacious. I appreciated the 48 bottles of water to ensure I didn't suffer dehydration. However I was less impressed by the food - overpriced, often unappetizing, quite a few times delivered late and/or only after repeated calls to ask when it would be delivered (note to manager, if you're reading - lunch should never be delivered at almost 3pm). I wouldn't mind staying again in the future under better circumstances (when possible to take the meals outside the hotel). As it was, while it could have been much worse and while I appreciate the difficult circumstances, my stay at this hotel was an experience which was suffered, not enjoyed.

Being Marriott Lifetime Titanium with Ambassador Elite, Hilton & Shangri- La Diamonds, I travel very frequently globally. Have been stayed with more than 10 five stars hotels in Xiamen, no double Courtyard by Marriott Xiamen is the best value one, the service is non of second in the same level hotels Stunning sea view , every close to airport , very attentive employees ; Big thanks to GM Martin , and his great executive team ,Johnny , Terry , Jim etc , you guys created a real home for me , will definitely come back again !
