Holiday Inn - Erie by IHG

Everything was perfect!

Staff and desk (Jake) were very pleasant.

I asked for a microwave in room at a fee as they do not automatically include one in the room. As nice as the staff is, they failed to get one to us, and it was addressed at check in AND on the first morning of our 2 day stay yet we never got our microwave.

Reasonable price, but the hotel's business model seems to be that 'we'll make it up on the bar & food.' In other words, they do have a bar/restaurant where you pay for drinks and dinner, and you pay for breakfast. Sounds OK, but the night we stayed, the cook left the bartender in a lurch, they were out of many food items/bar items, so it wasn't as good as advertised. Breakfast was so-so, except they did 'comp us,' which was good on their part. Room was good, bed good, pillows too soft, but OK, WiFi good, in other words, not bad for a night's stay in Erie. And, it had easy off/on access to the interstate.

Staff. A fire alarm went off because a staff members child pulled it. They then blamed it on the kitchen. The staff members were screaming at guests in the lobby. There was a fight on the second floor. Chaos!

rooms were very spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom and shower were exceptional

I got about 20 bed bug bites!!!!!!! Disgusting. Will never stay again. I feel like calling the health department. Gross!!!!!

Location was great- quick drive to a large variety of restaurants

The staff who checked us in was a bit off-putting. They also stopped responding to the open text line in which I first asked to see if early check-in was available, then reached out to share that a piece of chewed gum was left on the laminated hotel info page in the room.
