Everything perfect

The room and the entire place at Black Cat was beautifully decorated and spotless, I loved the tea/coffee making area and the location was excellent and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It was very good value for money and I would be happy to return in future.

Nothing springs to mind

Very comfortable bed, quality bedding. Great location, very nice restaurant, lovely staff

Small rooms, tightly packed together

Location was excellent, the layout of the room was good, the floor level was alright --not great for people with mobility issues but we managed well. (The bend on the stairs was difficult) the beds were perfect for one of us but not great for me. I like a soft matress mom loves a firm matress. At least one of us was very happy xD

Just te stair bend is difficult for people who are older and... The middle door, the key didn't open the middle door and there was a keypad --mother knocked on the door until someone opened the middle door for her.

Immaculate rooms. Service in Tapas bar was excellent

There was nothing to dislike. The single room is small, and I only discovered tea and coffee making facility on the landing as I was leaving. I was gagging foe team It was SO quiet,.amazing. Bed linen prestine,.smell was cleanliness itself. Loafs of white, which smacks cleanliness. A.shout out for thw Russian waitress who served me in the tapas, we laughed and laughed and she helped us out when packing amd went the extra mile to come to the car, to see if it was OK and more... I had a 2 small favours to ask and both were granted, so, for this, I give them a 10 out of 10 in politeness and helpfulness. For me, tapas is not a thing, I love spices, so the food would not get a 10! Patatas bravas -bland enough, the chickpea stew, also too bland for my taste... but for older.tastes- being on the careful.side with spices -would have been great. Wine was excellent. Good room temperature on the Red, generous glass size served brother best waitress I have ever been attended by. Like a maitre d'! Lived her, but didnt get her name. Just she was south Russian Sláinte to her!

Everything was exactly what I was expecting

the furnishings are stylish and tasteful. the bed was comfortable. the soap smells nice. the tea service in the hall is lovely and high quality. the local bus system made the location fine (with a little planning). nice neighborhood. the beach is absolutely lovely.

my arrival was cold, impersonal, and unhelpful. made me feel .... like i was just my money. there were no questions, no warmth or greeting, no suggestions, no assistance.... just transaction. this is not at all what i expected in Ireland, let alone Galway. the room was...... tiny. really. there was a giant mirror right across from the bed, which I suppose was placed there in order to compensate for the window that was short and directly on the ground (this - not much light at all coming into the space). there was no desk. no space for a desk. also no reception area or lobby downstairs - so basically..... this room is a bed, toilet and tiny shower. I understand that it's one of the lower cost options in Galway.... so, I do accept that relative to the market, it was perfectly fine in the quality/price ratio. I think what really troubled me was the total and utter lack of interest or humanness while checking in, and the total lack of any kind of interaction with any person after. It just made me feel like I was in a money-mill. Even if it's cheap - I definitely wouldn't come back here.

Excellent location

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. It would be nice if they had an option for having breakfast there
