"Recover from the stress of hectic modern life, with a touch of "The Sound of Music""

Breakfast was good. The location was exceptional, in an old building, part of a religious foundation, which means that it was not just quiet, but had a special unworldly serenity, a retreat from busy everyday life. The restaurant (breakfast room) has a tree-lined garden terrace above the river. The restaurant was open every evening, so no need to walk into town for dinner. Good food. The town is historic and peaceful, with a long and very ancient bridge across the river (Danube). Like Coburg, one of our very favourite places.

There is no lift, not ideal for me as I have reduced mobility and tons of luggage. The staff were very helpful , and carried all the luggage up and down the stairs.
