The Baltic Hotel

Staff were lovely, breakfast was perfect. Really liked the theme and the fact that you could request a record player and vinyls for your room.

Room lighting was rather dark so you couldnt see clearly to put make up on etc. Also routine fire test was held whilst we were there and nobody knocked to check that guests were out or knew where the muster points were....couple next door were left behind!

Really quirky hotel with lots of character. Location was great for the arena and main town centre. Great breakfast with a varied menu

Unfortunately the hotel lacks some maintenance. Our shower rail was at risk of fall off as it was not secured, our refrigerator was not working and an access panel in the bathroom ceiling was missing. Our room was not serviced on the second night?

All the staff were lovely. Good breakfast and good size room.

The 1st night the air conditioning was not working and the room was like a sauna, but a fan was provided. It was working the 2nd night though.

The location. Close to city centre.

The hotel was not clean. Very dirty and dusty in the communal areas. Stains and marks on carpets in the corridors, on the stairs and in the bedroom. Broken lift, air conditioning not working. Not a 24 hr reception. Had to wait at the unattended reception for over 20 minutes. No apologies or communication from other members of staff. Bad customer service. Intermittent lighting on the stairs, pitch black when we tired to get into our room, we had to use the torch on our mobile!
