USI travelled to VA for my granddaughter's wedding and booked my hotel at this location. BIG MISTAKE! The day of the wedding, I slipped and fell in the shower due to the shower floor being so slippery. I ended up with a 7-inch hematoma on my leg, a twisted ankle, a hurt back, neck, and shoulders, as well as a concussion. I reported my injury to Amanda at the front desk. I was told, well, we will have to put some non-slip stuff down in the shower to prevent that from happening to future guests. No, I'm so sorry that happened to you. Are you ok? Can we do anything for you, etc? Nothing. Just plain rude. The next day, I sat in my hotel room all day; no one checked on me (I've had hotels check on me before when I have been ill travelling), once again rude. When I checked out of the hotel, I accidentally left my phone there. I called and was told I need to send them a shipping label to have them send my phone out to me. Due to my concussion, my 89-year-old mom helped me out. Well, my mom called the hotel, and after 6 days, they were still holding my phone hostage because they claimed they couldn't open the shipping label. Have you ever tried to make a phone call to let us know? My mom threatened to call the cops on them, and lo and behold, they could send the phone out. I called the hotel and spoke with Amanda. The call was heated, and she told me I had no business leaving my phone in the hotel in the first place, excuse me? I have a concussion. I couldn't think straight. I have never been treated so rudely by Amanda and the GM, Jamie Reeves. Come to find out, the hotel sent my phone by USPS ground, so I won't receive it until June 1st, at 9:00 pm. That is 15 days without a phone, UNACCEPTABLE!!! How does one expect to go without a phone for 15 days? The staff is rude and incompetent, especially Amanda and Jamie!
