The apartments is in need of a makeover with many items beyond their best including the main bed. Better bedding would help. As it’s an older apartment with some full time residents there is a lot of noise from above and next door. Walk into town would not be suitable for many as it’s steep and uneven.

The view and the apartment was spacious.

Only 1 in 4 hobs worked in the kitchen. We were not warned about the very steep, unsteady track we would have to make to the apartment with our luggage and with no available taxis that day, it was a very tough climb. The apartment was not clean - clearly hadn’t been hoovered and a couple of towels had stains.

An ugly, typical in Italy smell from the bathroom. The next day, some air and it was bearable. We had to scald the dishes and cutlery with boiling water because everything was sticky. So much so that while boiling water due to its technical condition, it burned out, throwing out the corks in the control panel outside the house. Television remembering the 90s. The microwave didn't work, the oven is another state of mind. The fridge is clean and very ok.

The view is just as beautiful as the photos - really unreal!! The facilities are also good - the beds are comfortable, the rooms are big, the bathroom is well equipped and everything inside works well. We enjoyed our stay!

The location is about 10 minutes driving from the center of Menaggio on steep, windy and confusing roads. To walk to the port/center from the apartment, it takes about 15 minutes which isn’t too bad but you walk on a dirt road that can be a bit creepy at night with no lights. It’s not a pretty stroll down a side street like I thought it might be. I wish we had stayed closer to the city center.

Washing machine was broken and we were not informed

We picked up the key in town and drove a steep drive up the hill to the unit. It was very nice with a great terrace and expansive view of Lake Como.

The view from the terace is wonderful! Comfortable beds, lot of space, the fireplace is a very nice touch in an appartement. The ferry and town are within walking distance. Parking space is a big plus. We were very happy with our choice for accomodation in Menaggio.

There was an issue with plugs/sockets. The microwave's socket couldn't be used (it had previously pushed too hard and was not functional)and there was no where else to plug it. There were 2 or 3 types of sockets - very confusing. Location is a little bit remote for returning home at night, on foot.

The view was amazing and the people were nice. The ticket counter people were helpful but the apartment was awful. The keys to the apartment worked but the remote to open the gate didnt. There was cat hair everywhere. The pillows were stained and there was noises from construction when we checked in. The balcony was dirty and unkempt. Would not stay there again.
