Familienhotel Steindl

A very comfortable and welcoming stay alongside the Millstatt see. The food was delicious, staff very friendly and in general was a great experience. Pool and sauna area very relaxing.

Note: The sauna is available only between 4-8pm.

Perfect and very tasteful cuisine for a half board. You can choose from two options. Breakfast a little bit boring however rich. Salat bar always included. Rooms in appropriate quality and quite modern. Nice stainless steel 1,5m deep pool in adjacent building (15m). Friendly and funny owners (lovely couple). Dog friendly hotel. We will gladly came again 😀

Very clean, spacious and modern. We were able to use the indoor heated pool which we enjoyed. The place was self contained and very comfortable.

We stayed in double room that was really spacious, convenient and with small kitchenette. I would appreciate good working free wi-fi, tasty breakfast, welcome drink (sparkling wine) and reasonable price for the room as well. During our stay we used also indoor pool and sauna, which are located in other building, directly opposite the main hotel´s building. Ufortunately there is not a restaurant in the hotel that would serve dinner and guests are forced to visit restaurants located nearby. However during our stay the restaurants have been closed and we had to go by car to centre of Millstatt am See that is approximately 2 km from the hotel. vBut more substantial problem seems to be the lack of parking places. In order to find a suitable parking place (in two cases) we had to make two circles around hotel area via Pesenthein street. Even to leave the parking lot was not easy as the cars have parked also on the street and partially blocked exit to the Pesenthein street. This is very likely certain „tax“ for location of the hotel - on the slope, surrounded by other houses and estates with just one, quite narrow access (exit as well).

What an amazing place, you don’t want to leave from there, rooms are very clean and spacious, breakfast it’s very good and stuff are very nice and helpful, walking distance from the center of the town

I stayed here in April whilst on a business trip. The location is set back from the road but the rooms to the front of the main house offer spectacular views across Lake Millstatt. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is included (basic but nice) and parking is free (but limited). There is a really nice stainless steel indoor swimming pool (great for the kids). I really liked this hotel and would definitely return. Manfred (the owner) is a very nice man and very helpful. He speaks excellent English too!
