Antalya Hotel & Spa, Rishikesh

Der erste Eindruck des Zimmers, die Möblierung wirken auf den ersten Blick hochwertig, sind allerdings qualitativ höchstens mittelmäßig. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ok.

Das Bett ist durchgelegen, die Klimaanlage lässt sich kaum steuern und überhaupt nicht ausstellen. Sie springt nach kurzer Zeit immer wieder an und ist super laut. Die komplette Anlage, die Gänge, Treppen und vor allem die Außenanlagen sind in einem erbarmungswürdigen Zustand. Roh, ungeschmückt, mit vertrockneten Pflanzen. Die große Terrasse zum Ganges kahl, fast ohne Pflanzen, mit wenigen Sitzgruppen und völlig ohne Atmosphäre. Eine Baustelle für ein zukünftiges Café, eine anscheinend für einen Pool. Nicht laut, aber optisch ein weiterer Minuspunkt. Im Restaurant am ersten Abend waren wir wohl die einzigen Gäste neben einer italienischen Reisegruppe. Da der Raum sehr hellhörig ist, war die Lautstärke kaum zu ertragen. Am nächsten Abend wären wir dagegen um 20 Uhr die einzigen Gäste gewesen. Da haben wir dann lieber den Zimmerservice in Anspruch genommen.

The location is very good. On the patio great deck overlooking mother Ganga River The breakfast was excellent The reception is lovely That bathtubs (some rooms have them) are amazing Staff. Particularly the restaurant staff, Especially Moa, are very kind.

The floors in the room were dusty so when I went in barefoot my feet got dirty and then got dirtier when I got out of the shower. It’s important that people who book know that an Indian 4 or 5 star is a little different than US or European. The standards are not really the same. For Roshikesh it is a nice, elegant hotel

Lokation

We checked in for two nights. The first night in the king room, where we were kept awake till 3:30 AM, due to noise from neighbors, which the hotel didn't manage to stop after multiple complaints. The walls of this place is paper thin and you can follow everyone's conversations. The next morning we asked to check out with a full refund. They upgraded us to a suite, which we accepted, huge mistake! The suite was pretty at first, but the bathroomdoor was litterally falling off, the water was cold, and they were doing construction work in the floor above, so the whole day we couldn't rest due to hammering and drilling. All we wanted was quiet and peace, which the manager promised, however the construction work didnt stop until 7 pm. We slept ok the last night, which was the only part of the stay which was ok. When we checked out the manager refused a partial refund, as we obviously dont think we should have to pay for two nights in a place where we have actually only been able to relax for 12 hours. We ended up paying 22.000 rs. For 1 night if mediocre rest, 1 night of horrible sleep, and a day of construction work 🙃 I wish you all the best of luck if you decide to stay here, I have nothing positive to say, worst experience of our whole trip in India.

I was originally put in the older part of the hotel and asked to swap to a newer room which was much more pleasant. Be sure to request this. There were still renovations ongoing as well. Is also a bit of a wind tunnel so can be cold.
