just found the bath taps difficult to manoever

The bar, the beer, the food! Also the people of Presteigne, the Manager, the Staff, the shops, the walks, Stapleton Castle. There is so much to like in Presteigne.

Bed a little springy

A very good breakfast, but some visitors might wish to have a full English, but for the money, the continental was very good value. Room was far too hot for us, but the radiators were easily turned down as we live in a draughty old pile! Shower was extremely hot as well! Fascinating historical building with many interesting features such as a priest hole, 17th century paneled rooms and past owners connected to Charles 1st and Mary Queen of the Scots.

The hotel is old which gave it its charm and one of the reasons we chose it. Room was spacious and comfortable, very clean and the staff were lovely. Food was very good and so was the beer.
