Harum Manis Country House

Late check in, wrote to the owner a little before midnight if I remember correctly, and within half an hour she was there with the keys, apologies if I kept you up, all appliances seem to not be working until you find the correct wall switch that turns them on, all appliances in working order otherwise

Very confusing parking and actual location of motel, we found it in the end but it took a good 20 minutes, parked next to a rehab (?). The goddamn chickens, there’s a tree in the courtyard outside right in front of the building that houses around 5-10 chickens, yes they sleep in the tree, until they don’t that is. At about 3AM a few of these bastards wake up and start screaming across the whole complex making it very difficult to sleep, I got maybe an hour of sleep as these little assholes start at around 3AM and finish at 8. Everything else is great, up to standard. Guys, I don’t know if I’m the first and only person to complain about the chickens but for the love of god do something about them, this could have easily been a 5/5 stay but since I barely got any sleep at night (the whole reason one books a room for the night) this rating is going way down, extremely hard to fall asleep when you have 5 chickens screaming their heads off right next to your ear. Wasn’t just a problem for me, friend that was sharing the room with me was complaining half the night as well.

Friendly staff. Good location. Good clear tv with basic mytv channels. Good parking space

No kettle to boil water, make instant noodle etc.

Ithe staircase and the room was dirty with lizard droppings. Not a suitable place for family.
