Beautiful location and wonderful staff so friendly and kind. Their cat and goat are also very friendly and love pats!

Beautiful monastery atop the hill that has a very authentic feel. The prayer ceremony at 6am is an absolute must and lovely to witness. A great stay and the room was amazing too.

It's a bit of a steep uphill from the train station. Was not an issue for me but something to be aware of for people who struggle up hills or have large luggage. Perhaps messaging the hosts early to see if you can be picked up would be worthwhile.

The futon bed was really nice! The toilette and shower were clean.

It located exactly behind the graveyard…you need to drive over a dark forest. From there i highly doubt that it’s the place where the temple offers tree burial to the locals. if you are someone afraid of something like this, probably you can try other opts. And it’s quite bad sound proof, our neighbor were a loud couple who don’t care about their laughters and chats might go across the whole aile since it was quite traditional japanese style interior design.

Very relaxing and enjoyable stay despite the last minute booking, and cyclist friendly is another plus.

Wish it had some sheltered bicycle storage space with bike rack or stands for guests’ precious sports (i.e. Parking stand-less) bikes to save them from falling down, rainwater and theft.
