Motel 6-North Olmsted, OH - Cleveland

A very nice place to stay. I've been there at least 3 times and will be back.

I recently stayed at the Motel 6 North Olmsted while visiting the Cleveland, OH area with my partner. It was my first stay at a motel and, given the negative things I had heard about them, didn't know what to expect. Luckily, things went well overall. I appreciated that the room was clean, had a working refrigerator and TV set, and separate sitting area. I also liked that the motel was within walking distance of several stores and restaurants and that I didn't need a car to grab something to eat late night. Be advised, though, that Motel 6 also has limited customer services. So, if things are broken in your room or if you need help finding anything in the local area that can't be Googled, then, you may be out of luck! Or at least this was our experience when my partner and I reported a broken reading light on one side of our bed... Also, if you choose to stay here, be mindful that the rooms don't have screen doors to keep out insects and other pests. So, unless you don't mind sharing your room with the ants and the mosquitos, open the door very carefully. :) Despite these limitations, I had an overall positive experience at the Motel 6 North Olmsted and would recommend it to travelers in need of a safe, affordable place to stay in the Cleveland area.

The desk employee checked my husband and myself in a room (1st floor) as well as, another family, but they put the other family above us on the 2nd floor, and we heard noise from them all night long. They should always put families on the bottom floor because they are very loud on the second floor.

The shower was not cleaned! There was hair everywhere on the bottom. When you could walk in, you can tell the floors weren’t cleaned. It was dusty everywhere. There use to be a pull out bed from the couch. We kinda missed that. And lastly, there was a hole in one of the sheets. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. Stores were close by and a local park wasn’t too far to enjoy!

I decided to take an impromptu trip to the Cleveland area. Having my last 16 year old Doxie with me, it was important to have him with me. No matter where I go, because of him, I will always stay at the nearest Motel 6 closest to my destination. Because pets stay free. It helps me out. Usually I like to stay on the ground floor. But this time the only room available was a single w/ mic and fridge on the upstairs floor. Begrudgingly I took it.... but it was a blessing in disguise for sure. I will also say for a smoking room, it was surprisingly nice and clean. No smoke smell... until I brewed up some of my own coffee the next morning. 😊 I was in the VERY back of the establishment which gave me a different view other than the parking lot. The hotel sits on the cusp of a nice quiet neighborhood in which I walked my little one thru. The house in front of my room burned a fire pit and the air was cool. A group of men grilled out front of the hotel. Between them and the neighbor with the fire pit...it smelled like Fall. The next morning, the area outside my door was beautiful...I stayed out there, with my fresh brewed coffee and took it all in. The quiet.. the peace.. the coolness of the morning. How lucky was I??
